Worked as an Engineer in Division of Biomedical Engineering Services - Ministry of Health (from 2001.11.01 to 2016.03.15). Have the experience of maintaining electrical systems, generators which are used in the government hospitals in Sri Lanka. Also engaged with medical equipment planning procurement and maintenance. Some of the projects I have handled are; Teaching Hospital Anuradhapura Development Project – JICA OPD, Clinic Building of the Teaching Hospital Anuradhapura was built with a JICA grant of Yen 21000Mn, The building included OPD section, Clinics rooms, Gyn & Obs theater complex, Neonatal Unit and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. Equipment also supplied under the same project. I was the project engineer for installation commissioning of Biomedical equipment, fire safety equipment, elevators, medical gas systems & generator system and supervision of installation commissioning of the equipment supplied under this project.

Currently employed as a Chartered Electrical Engineer in Central Engineering Consultancy Bureau (from 2016.08.15 to present) having experience with design of electrical installations of large scale building projects undertaken by the CECB, as well as construction supervision of large scale construction sites listed as follows. Colombo Portcity Development Project – Site QR Engineer (2019 Oct. to present) Construction supervision of the electrical installations in Colombo Portcity Development Project, preparation of document review reports, sample approval and vendor qualification assessment. Under this, construction of potable, irrigation and sewerage water pumping stations and their electrical machines and electrical panels were reviewed and supervisions were done. Installation of local substations, MV distribution network and other general lighting such as road lighting, landscape area lighting and telecom network were covered. Zoological Department Development Projects – Electrical Engineer for consultancy services (2016 Aug. to 2019 Oct.) Design of electrical installations, preparation of bill of quantities & technical specifications and preparation of construction drawings for the projects done by zoological department in Safari Park Hambanthota, Dehiwala Zoo and Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. Under this projects were done for street light networks, internal distribution networks and building electrical systems. Manning Market Relocation Project – Electrical Engineer for consultancy services (2016 Aug. to 2018 Jan) This was a Consultancy project assigned to CECB, total estimated cost of the project was Rs. 4,000 Mn, I was responsible for design, preparation of BOQ, preparation of technical specifications, tender drawings and construction drawings for the project.
