I am a Graduate Geotechnical and Civil Engineer with hands-on experience in geotechnical investigations, site supervision, laboratory and in-situ testing, and technical reporting for infrastructure and construction projects. I hold a BSc (Hons) in Earth Resources Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, a Washington Accord–accredited degree.
My professional experience includes working as a Geotechnical Engineer on road, highway, embankment, and slope protection projects, where I was involved in soil and rock testing, earthworks supervision, compaction control, stabilization works, and compliance with engineering and safety standards. I have also completed internships in mining and mineral processing engineering and irrigation engineering, gaining strong exposure to industrial operations, material behavior, and field-based engineering practices.
In addition to my core civil and geotechnical background, I have experience as a Trainee Software Engineer, with exposure to Java-based development, structured documentation, testing procedures, and data-driven problem solving, which enhances my ability to work efficiently with engineering software, reports, and digital systems.
I am an Associate Member of IESL and ECSL and ranked 99th in the Civil Engineering category of the Sri Lanka Engineering Service Examination (2024). I am seeking opportunities in civil, geotechnical, site, or infrastructure engineering roles, particularly within construction, consulting, and industrial project environments.

Washington Accord–accredited engineering degree with strong foundations in civil, geotechnical, mining, and materials engineering, including coursework in soil mechanics, rock mechanics, engineering geology, foundation engineering, mineral processing, and construction materials. Gained practical exposure through laboratory testing, field investigations, data analysis, and technical reporting, along with completing final-year design and research projects focused on construction materials development and engineering system optimization. Work & Experience
As a Mining and Mineral Processing Engineer Intern, I gained hands-on experience in the exploration, extraction, and processing of mineral resources. I assisted in conducting site surveys, sample collection, and laboratory testing to evaluate ore quality and mineral content. I supported the design and optimization of mineral processing workflows, including crushing, grinding, flotation, and separation techniques, ensuring efficiency and compliance with safety and environmental standards. This internship allowed me to develop practical skills in project documentation, data analysis, and process improvement within a real-world mining and mineral processing environment.
As an Irrigation Engineer Intern, I gained practical experience in designing, planning, and managing irrigation systems for agricultural and civil projects. I assisted in surveying sites, analyzing soil and water data, and developing efficient irrigation layouts to optimize water distribution. I supported the preparation of technical drawings, project reports, and cost estimates, while ensuring compliance with sustainability and environmental standards. This internship helped me develop hands-on skills in water resource management, hydraulic calculations, and project coordination within real-world irrigation projects.
As a Geotechnical Engineer, I was involved in investigating and analyzing soil and rock properties to support safe and efficient civil engineering projects. I conducted site investigations, including borehole drilling, soil sampling, and in-situ testing, and performed laboratory tests to assess material strength, stability, and suitability for foundations, embankments, and other structures. I assisted in preparing geotechnical reports, recommendations, and design solutions while ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. This role helped me develop practical skills in soil mechanics, foundation design, slope stability analysis, and project documentation.
As a Trainee Software Engineer, I gained hands-on experience in software development, contributing to both front-end and back-end projects.
